A SAVVY mum-of-six has revealed how she dishes up Christmas dinner with TWO meats for a cool £7.58 a portion.
Despite dishing up for eight people every Christmas, Gemma Loveden knows how to cut costs and save quality.
She claims that her bargain spread is so big that the family still has enough for leftovers on Boxing Day.
Complete with turkey, beef, potatoes, vegetables and cauliflower cheese, Gemma’s dinner works out at £7.58 a portion.
But she assures it can be done cheaper with less meat and utilising supermarket loyalty schemes, such as Nectar and Tesco Clubcard, to buy food with points collected throughout the year.
Gemma buys a meat hamper from an online retailer because she finds it's cheaper than the supermarket.

She also utilises “wonky vegetables” to add all the trimmings.
“I’ve always enjoyed cooking for my family, but as we all know, the cost of living has made it difficult to get as much food on the table compared to last year,” the mum from Merseyside said.
“Eating together at Christmas is important to me and my family and I didn’t want to compromise on taste or not have enough to go round.”
Gemma saved cash by making the most of loyalty points in supermarkets to get her sides and veggies.

She purchased the meat as part of a bundle deal from MuscleFoods.
“We absolutely loved using the hamper to save on our meats, as the costs in supermarkets are ridiculously high, especially around Christmas,” she said.
“It also meant there were plenty of leftovers from the hamper, so we kept the meats in the freezer and simply defrosted them for whenever we needed to use them.”
This close to Christmas, Gemma recommends shopping around to get the best deals on food.
“Don’t be afraid of venturing out from your usual place to shop as there are plenty of deals in the run up to Christmas,” she explained.
“Many shops have seasonal offers so make the most of them while they’re available.”
