Erectile dysfunction gel, Eroxon, that works in 10 minutes on sale in Boots - and you DONT need a

MANY men struggle to get an erection at some point in their lives.

But now, a new easy-to-use gel which you can buy from your local pharmacy is promising an almost instant fix.

Eroxon is the first-of-it's-kind topical impotence gel that can be bought without a prescription.

It will be sold over-the-counter in Boots in the UK and Ireland from today (April 18) for £24.99.

Each box will contain four single-use sachets.

The gel is touted to work in under ten minutes, much faster than standard treatments such as Viagra, which come in pill form and can take up to an hour to kick in.

Men struggling to get it up apply the gel to the head of the penis just before sex begins.

HOW IT WORKS

Eroxon works by rapidly cooling and then gradually warming the penis.

This change in temperature stimulates nerve endings on the glans, which increases blood flow, leading to an erection.

Two phase three trials, which were presented at the European Society for Sexual Medicine in February 2023, revealed the gel led to an erection within ten minutes in over 60 per cent of cases.

The studies also showed it on men with mild, moderate or severe cases of erectile dysfunction (ED).

TV's Dr Hilary Jones, an adviser to the Eroxon ED Information Panel (EEDIP), said: "Eroxon offers a breakthrough for sexual wellness.

"Eroxon gel ensures sexual spontaneity remains intact thanks to its speed of action.

"Previous ED treatments can take up to an hour to work, potentially destroying any intimacy.

"Plus, super studies show that almost 50 per cent of men actually gave up using them."

Professor David Ralph, Consultant Urologist at St Peter’s Andrology Centre & Institute of Urology, UCLH, London, said “The efficacy of Eroxon is remarkable and approaches the efficacy of current first line therapy but with significantly lower adverse events.”

“With topical application, it will be of particular appeal to mild to moderate ED patients who want a fast onset of action.

"Lack of drug interactions with prescription products will enable the product to be used with other medications such as nitrates and other cardiovascular drugs. "

The main treatment for ED are oral tablets know as PDE-5 inhibitors, branded in the UK as Viagra.

While the drugs work well for some, people with conditions such as people with uncontrolled blood pressure, and those taking medicines for heart issues.
