PARENTS were left in fuming after a town's annual Christmas parade only featured three floats and barely lasted five minutes.
Swansea Council promised a spectacular show but left punters looking to get into the festive spirit bitterly disappointed.
Instead of the fabulous display they were promised, people blasted the event as a "shambles" and the "worst parade I have ever seen".
Raging parents said there was nothing for young children, apart from a "loud music float with a Santa on".
The night featured Ironman, Spider Man and Wonder Woman as part of “Santa's Time Travelling Adventure” - but parade goers were left somewhat miffed.
Geraint Rees wrote on Facebook: "Santa's time travelling adventure? If I could go back in time I'd tell myself to stay home. Two lorries of "art" and Santa?
"You call that a parade? Families stood there visibly thinking "Is that it?" More like Santa's Time Wasting Adventure."
Kaye Harris-John said: "Over promised and under delivered. A familiar theme with SCC. Disappointing doesn't even cover it."
Melanie Wheately added: "How can you call that a parade? It’s shameful that you misled so many families who wrapped their kids up and stood in the cold for hours waiting for the promised entertainment and parade!
"We were in disbelief when it all finished as we’d still been waiting for it to start properly!"
Stacey Holloway said: "Shambles...absolutely pathetic."
Others advised the authority to ditch the parade altogether and create a stage with a singer, and suggested Welsh actor Kevin Jones turn on the lights.
Apologising in a Faceook post, Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart agreed that Sunday's parade was not "good enough".
He said: "It was always going to be challenging.
"I have been clear since the disappointment of two years ago that we would deliver a traditional Christmas event with Disney style elements.

"Last year the parade was well received and I expected that we would deliver the same experience this year. It hasn't happened."
He said it was down to roadworks and building work, meaning this year's route had to be altered and there were fewer floats and performers.
John Williams, who took his grandkids to the parade, told the BBC: "It was rubbish. Nothing like last year. If you blinked you would have missed it."
