Google Jobs comes to UK new job-hunting tool makes it WAY easier to find work

GOOGLE has finally launched its helpful job-hunting tool here in the UK.

The website now pulls together job vacancies from most of the major careers sites – making your life easier.

Normally, looking for a new job is a painful process.

You have to trawl endless job websites, searching endlessly for open positions.

But Google for Jobs sucks up all of that info and makes it searchable, so you don't have to visit multiple sites.

You can track jobs down by categories, titles, locations, date posted and more.

The service has been live for a while in the USA, but it's now made it to the UK.

All you need to do is search for something like "retail jobs in Birmingham".

And where you see normal Google search results, you'll also be presented with a "Jobs" widget.

That'll highlight some of the best positions it thinks you might be interested in. But you'll also be able to click through to the full Google for Jobs portal.

From there, you can browse all of the jobs available in Google's systems, reading vacancy details and a full position description.

It'll all surface ratings for company from business comparison sites like Glassdoor and Comparably.

Some of the UK's biggest job listings services have signed up to Google for Jobs, including Reed, Guardian Jobs, Haymarket, Totaljobs, LinkedIn and Glassdoor.

Google isn't taking any money to feature these listings, and doesn't appear to be advertising beyond the normal results either.

But it's possible Google may take payments in the future to promote some jobs (or job-listers) higher up in the results.
