Mums love this 8.50 colour-in cardboard playhouse and its perfect for keeping kids entertain

A MUM has revealed how she bought herself "10 minutes of peace" by purchasing a colour-in playhouse from Hobbycraft.

Taking to Facebook to share the find, the mum explained the crafty activity is currently half price at £8.50 and is available in a number of different styles.

"With it being half term I thought I would buy myself 10 minutes of peace," she wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains group.

"This cardboard cafe you can colour in is half price at Hobbycraft (£8.50) there were castles and playhouses too.

"Although my cat was miffed at the lack of service!"

The mum posted three images of the quirky colour-in playhouse, complete with adorable cat.

As well as the cafe, Hobbycraft is also selling a gingerbread house, igloo, castle, shop front, fairy playhouse and a princess carriage as well as a rocket design.

With eight up for grabs - and all at half price - there's definitely a design for everyone.

And the playhouses have been receiving rave reviews online, with one shopper calling them the "perfect activity for kids".

"My daughter had this for her fourth birthday and is absolutely in love with it!" One person wrote.

"When not outside colouring it in (and she is trying so hard not to colour out of the lines) she sits inside it, with her stool, watching the TV out of the window!

"I think we’ll have this in our living room for quite some time! Sturdy although fiddly putting together - definitely needed adult assistance but would recommend this to all!

"Excellent present hours (weeks/months I foresee) of fun!"
