United previously wore Umbro for a decade as the Manchester kit designer enjoyed prominence during the 1990s.
The three adidas titles all came courtesy of Chelsea, who won twice in Umbro before a move to the German label for triumphs in 2009-10, 2014-15 and 2016-17.
Current champions City have donned Puma since 2019, adding the German brand's second title after Leicester's shock 2015-16 crown.

Adidas will fancy their chances with Manchester United their main hopes, alongside Leicester and Arsenal.
Representing Nike will be Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool with Umbro unlikely to add to their ten crowns while holding deals with Burnley, Brentford and West Ham.
The British marque nonetheless boasts the most points won over the entire Prem era, with 5,517 to the 5,124 of adidas and 4,715 of Nike.
