ROBERTO MANCINI took the tube to Wembley to watch his former club Manchester City lose to Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final.

The Italian boss is jobless at present and took in the pre-match atmosphere on London's public transport alongside fans.

He was City manager from 2009 until 2013, winning the club its first ever Premier League title in 2012 as well as the FA Cup the year before.

Mancini was last in charge of Inter Milan until August last year and has been linked with a host of positions - including at Arsenal.

SunSport reporter Gary Stonehouse took the tube alongside the friendly ex-footballer.

He was happy to pose for photos and chat to fans.

Stonehouse reports that Gunners fans on the tube were asking him to join them as manager - but he just said he loved England and his next plan was to have a holiday.

It is not the first time he has ridden the tube, surprising commuters in 2013 to go to the Emirates to watch Arsenal take on Liverpool while boss of City.

And former England boss Roy Hodgson also chose the Underground as his mode of transport to a Gunners home game in 2012.

Mancini witnessed a cracker at Wembley as Alexis Sanchez's extra-time winner sealed another FA Cup final appearances for Arsene Wenger's men.
