THIS is the moment former Manchester United star Darron Gibson was arrested for drink driving for a second time - after allegedly smashing his £75,000 Mercedes into a row of parked cars.
The Sunderland midfielder was detained by cops after his luxury 4x4 clipped a Nissan Note as he allegedly sped down a quiet street in the city.
He then careered into a row of parked cars including a white Seat Ibiza, which was propelled 40 feet down the road by the force.
Cops were called to Dovedale Road, Sunderland, shortly before noon on Saturday and Gibson was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
An unshaven Gibson, 30, was photographed as he was put into a police patrol car.
And Seat Ibiza owner Lewis Gowland, 21, told how he was at home when he heard a loud smash and looked outside, to find his £15,000 motor had been shunted down the road.
Roofer Lewis, who posted a video of the aftermath on Twitter, told The Sun on Sunday: “I heard a huge crash and went outside.
“I looked for my car and it had been shunted down the road. I couldn’t believe it. I think he clipped a Nissan Note further up the road and lost control.
“He’s hit a Mercedes and also hit a wall which has partially collapsed and damaged another car.
“Then to rub salt in the wounds, people started saying it was Darron Gibson who was driving. I’m an avid Sunderland fan so it just sums up our season."

In September 2015 former Everton midfielder Gibson admitted drink driving after he crashed his £125,000 Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo into three cyclists at a petrol station close to his home in Bowdon, Cheshire.
He was banned from driving for 20 months and handed 200 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order, along with fines totalling £5,700.
Last year, the troubled footballer was filmed in a bar following a 5-0 defeat by Celtic admitting to fans that Sunderland were “f***ing s***”.
He also accused some team-mates of not giving “a f***” about the club before threatening to punch one fan.
A Northumbria Police spokesman confirmed a 30-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was being held in custody.
A Sunderland FC spokesman said: “We are aware of a road traffic collision this morning.”
Sunderland took on Preston today with Gibson currently injured and not due to play.
