WWE star Kevin Owens will reportedly undergo surgery after his brutal beating at the hands of Bobby Lashley.
The Prize Fighter, 34, was defeated by The Dominator on Monday Night Raw but then suffered a further attack after the bell.
In an apparent heel turn, Lashley launched a vicious attack on KO’s knees before slamming them into the ring post several times.
Now WWE have confirmed Owens looks set for a spell on the sidelines.
A statement from the company said: “Kevin Owens sustained injuries to both knees when Bobby Lashley viciously wrapped Owens’ legs around a turnbuckle after their match, WWE.com can confirm.
“Owens will undergo further evaluation tomorrow to determine the full extent of the damage.”
However Post Wrestling claims the injury is an angle in order to allow Owens time off to have knee surgery.
It is hoped the former WWE Universal Champion’s procedure will only be a minor one.

But the Canadian will not know the severity of the damage until his knee is assessed fully.
And that means there could be a possibility Owens could join best friend Sami Zayn on the sidelines for a lengthy spell.
